Consultant Vascular Surgeon, Circle Health Partners

I was a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Northwick Park from 1996 to 2021 when I retired from full time practice. I now work part time for Imperial Healthcare Trust and maintain a private practice. I am a general Vascular Surgeon with a special interest in lower limb arterial disease, venous disease and the diabetic foot. 

I have has a long career in education., teaching courses such as CCrISP and ATLS along with developing and teaching courses for the Vascular Surgeons in training. I have been a Programme director. I am an examiner for the Vascular FRCS and chaired the JCIE exam board for 3 years. I still teach surgical skills at Imperial.

I was on the Councl of the Vascular Society from 2013 and was Secretary of the Society until 2022. I was the Lead author on the Provision of Services for Vascular patients 2018. This document is used by commissioners and services to benchmark practice and drive service improvement. 

While on Council, I represented the Vascular Society on the Independent Review Mechanism committee at the RCS and undertook a number of reviews with the College. 

I was awarded the Life Time Achievement award at the 2024 Vascular Society ASM.
