Accessibility at the RCS England Future of Surgery Festival

AccessAble website - a guide to the ICC

The AccessAble website gives you the accessibility information you need to work out if a place is going to be accessible for you. To view their guide to the ICC please click here.

Accessible Birmingham

It’s important to us that everyone visiting the ICC has the best possible experience the moment they arrive in Birmingham. For more information on blue badge parking, public transport guides and more, click here.

Accessible lanyards

Anyone with an accessibility requirement will be offered a different coloured lanyard so that stewards may easily identify and offer support.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are always welcome at the ICC, however we recommend not bringing them along to any events that could be particularly noisy.

Disabled facilities

You’ll find unisex, wheelchair-accessible toilets throughout the ICC, located on levels 2 and 3 of the Mall.

Disabled parking

Blue Badge Parking and accessible parking bays are available in the car parks at our neighbouring sister venue Utilita Arena Birmingham (King Edward’s Road, B1 2AA).

Accessible parking details are available for those car parks here. Mobile payments can be made upon arrival at the Arena car park via www.parkjockey.com/pay, quoting location code 5020.

For any disability parking issues, call us on(+44) 0121 200 2000 and select option 5.

Hearing loops

An induction loop system, which can be linked to visitors’ hearing aids, is operated in selected halls at the ICC.

Medical emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, please notify a member of Security or any member of staff for assistance.

Wheelchair access

The ICC is accessible to wheelchair users via both ramps and lifts. Tactile signage is also fitted in the majority of lifts.

We are dedicated to making our events enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their abilities or circumstances. So please let us know if you have any special requirements such as dietary needs based on religious or medical grounds, the need for a private or quiet space during the event, alternative formats such as Braille or large print, hearing loops, British Sign Language interpreter, wheelchair access, high backed chair etc.

Please contact rcseng@wonderly.agency so that the necessary adjustments can be made.
