AccessAble website - a guide to the ICC
The AccessAble website gives you the accessibility information you need to work out if a place is going to be accessible for you. To view their guide to the ICC, please click here.
Accessible ICC
Our chosen venue, the ICC, is designed for maximum accessibility for all events. The venue is directly accessible from both the city centre, car park, and the taxi drop-off point. The ICC is accessible by wheelchair to all public areas by ramps and lifts. All steps have a designated support railing for assistance. The main entrance level for ICC Birmingham is the ground floor, and there are automatic double entrance doors which are permanently staffed when an event is taking place. There are two lifts available from the ground floor to both the upper and lower levels. The conference rooms are situated on Level 4, where stewards are available to assist delegates. In Hall 1 (the main auditorium with tiered seating), there are eight designated spaces for wheelchair users and assistants in Row Q. Hall 1 is also accessible on two different levels, with the lower of the two levels providing access to the main stage. The designated spaces offer clear sight lines of the conference. For further details, please visit: Accessible to all | The ICC, Birmingham.
Accessible Birmingham
It is important to us that everyone visiting the conference has the best possible experience the moment they arrive in Birmingham. At New Street Train Station - the closest train station to the ICC, all platforms have step-free access via modern lifts, accessible toilets and wheelchair availability. The station recommends that wheelchair users and others who are unfamiliar with the station seek assistance from a member of our team. Accessible lanyards
Anyone with an accessibility requirement will be offered a different coloured lanyard so that stewards may easily identify and offer support.
Assistance dogs
ICC Birmingham welcomes delegates with assistance dogs. Please ensure that your assistance dog is clearly identifiable when entering the building to ensure that our stewards are aware of their presence. Facilities for assistance dogs are available on request. In order to support visitors wishing to bring personal support animals to the venue and to ensure smooth entry for those animals permitted, please email rcseng@wonderly.agency.
Catering
The ICC hospitality team caters for a range of dietary requirements and label food accordingly. They are fully trained and on hand to provide an inclusive service. If you have a particular dietary requirement, please advise us during the registration process or contact rcseng@wonderly.agency.
