Mindy Nunez Duffourc

Mindy Nunez Duffourc is an Assistant Professor of Private Law at Maastricht University, where she teaches and conducts research as a member of the Maastricht Law and Tech Lab and Maastricht European Private Law Institute. Her research focuses on examining the governance of emerging technologies, specifically artificial intelligence (AI) for health. Her work has been published in leading legal and medical journals.
She frequently collaborates within international and interdisciplinary teams of experts from academia, government, and industry who specialize in law, medicine, data and computer science, and public policy. Mindy practiced law in the United States for over a decade, representing healthcare providers and government agencies in complex litigation.
Prior to joining Maastricht University, she received her juris doctor degree from the University of North Carolina (2008), her PhD from the University of Passau (2023), and was a member of the NYU law faculty (2021–2023).
