Max Osborne

ENT Consultant, The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust

Mr Max Osborne BSc (Hons), MBChB, MRCS, FRCS (ORL-HNS), PhD, is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. His research interests span paediatric hearing loss, bone-conducting hearing implants and surgical teaching and training. At Dudley, he contributes to innovative service development, including the nationally recognised head and neck cancer diagnostic pathway, which was a finalist in the prestigious HSJ award 2025 for modernising diagnostic pathways.

A dedicated educator, he is open about his own experiences with dyslexia and advocates for supporting neurodivergent trainees in surgical specialties.

Mr Osborne is the co-founder and chair of the ENT Dyslexic Network (EDeN) and the ENT Neurodiversity Network, a national initiative dedicated to supporting neurodivergent ENT trainees, including those with dyslexia, ADHD and other learning differences. Although still in its early stages, the network has been quietly developing a suite of new educational tools and resources for trainees and AES colleagues across the UK. This network aims to act as a central point of contact for regional trainees, offering guidance on local PSW structures, coaching options, and preparation for the FRCS examination.
