Lillian Reza

ST8, West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital

Lillian Reza is an ST8 colorectal surgical resident in the London Deanery and a PhD

candidate at St Mark’s Hospital. She is currently undertaking an Out of Programme for

Training year at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals and will continue her robotic training

through a dedicated post-CCT robotic colorectal fellowship at the same trust.

She has a strong interest in improving how surgical training is delivered, particularly as new

technologies become embedded in routine clinical practice. As President of The Dukes’ Club

(2023–2024), she led national surveys evaluating the quality and consistency of colorectal

training in colonoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease, developed a robotic-assisted

webinar series with international proctors, and has been a strong advocate for widening

access to robotic training. Most recently, she has collaborated with ACPGBI, The Dukes’

Club, and the RSM Coloproctology Section to deliver the Colorectal Training Delphi

Study - a national consensus study defining future priorities in colorectal surgical training

from both trainer and resident perspectives.
