
Laura Harrison
Independent consultant - strategy, organisation development
Laura is an independent consultant with 30 years’ experience in strategy, organisational development and change leadership. Her clients span non-profits, membership bodies, trade unions, and local and national UK government, including organisations such as Migration Exchange, More in Common, Girls Not Brides, Freedom From Torture, Nesta, Global Witness, the Royal College of Surgeons, the RSA, the FBU and BALPA.
Before working independently, Laura was Strategy and Transformation Director at the CIPD, a global membership organisation with over 150,000 members. In this role she led strategy, research, advocacy and communications, set professional standards, and oversaw internal HR and finance functions. Earlier in her career, Laura held senior business leadership roles, including European HR & OD Director at Aviva plc, and spent eight years in management consultancy with PwC and EY, working with global clients.
Alongside her consultancy work, Laura has supported Baroness Helena Kennedy KC on independent commissions and inquiries related to human rights and social justice. She co-founded The Doubt Club, has served as a trustee of British Future, and currently chairs the board of South London Refugee Association.
