Association of Breast Surgery
The Association of Breast Surgery (ABS) is the membership association for healthcare professionals caring for any person with a breast problem. Its mission is to ensure that everyone with a breast condition receives the highest possible standard of care.
ABS works to advance standards in breast care and breast surgery through a range of activities. These include delivering cutting edge education and training programmes to improve patient outcomes worldwide; providing trusted, accessible guidance for breast professionals and patients; driving clinical research and innovation to enhance clinical practice; and supporting health care individuals and multidisciplinary teams to deliver the best possible care for patients.
The Association’s membership includes surgeons and nurse specialists, as well as other members of the wider breast care team who specialise in the diagnosis and management of breast conditions, in particular breast cancer. ABS members work in the UK, Ireland and worldwide.
The ABS Conference, taking place on 6 - 8 June 2026, is the Association’s flagship event showcasing the latest innovations in breast surgery and clinical practice. With a world-class scientific programme covering clinical, research and practice-focused topics relevant to the entire breast care team including breast and oncoplastic surgeons, breast surgery trainees, clinical nurse specialists, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, allied health professionals involved in breast care, and researchers with an interest in breast.
