VRiMS (Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery)
We provide comprehensive solutions for using and developing extended reality resources in medical and surgical training. We use a variety of extended reality techniques including cadaveric and live surgery immersive experiences and VR anatomy, in person and remote synchronised VR, interactive VR and developing VR avatars for soft skills as well as running hands on cadaveric courses and developing dedicated surgical training apps. We have established a UK and Ireland ‘hub and spoke’ model providing full technical support and extended reality resources to run more than 250 workshops in every medical school in the UK over the last year, delivering over 10,000 immersive surgical training experiences. We cater for every surgical specialty and for every grade of surgeon and provide a cocreation resource as well as onboarding and deep dive sessions into technical aspects of extended reality. We also run a global health programme using extended reality to train in low resource setting in Africa.
