Terouz Pasha
RCS England Innovation Fellow, Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust
Terouz Pasha is the inaugural Surgical Innovation Fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS England) and the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE). A plastic surgery resident and artist, she works at the intersection of surgery, design, and technology.
Her fellowship focuses on building national infrastructure that supports safe, effective surgical innovation—from spearheading the RCS England I-Hub’s annual programme to developing pathways that help teams move from unmet need to early prototype development. She also contributes to NIHR HRC research improving post-market evaluation of surgical devices and LIHE’s start-ups with clinical support.
Alongside her innovation work, Terouz is recognised for her anatomy-focused illustration, features in Springer textbooks, scientific journals, and global digital platforms. She leads the creation of surgical illustrations for Concentric Health’s digital consent platform, and her anatomy eBooks, developed to widen access to surgical education, are downloaded globally and used by the UN Global Surgery Training Hub to train surgeons in Africa.
She believes creativity and technology can transform how surgery is taught, delivered, and experienced, advancing care for both patients and those who provide it.
