Michael Bath

Mr Michael Bath is a General Surgery Registrar in London, UK, and a doctoral research student at the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Leicester and has since worked as an Academic Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Queen Mary University of London, completing his Masters Degree in Clinical Research. His research interests are in global trauma care provision, from epidemiology through to large-scale clinical trials, and was recently awarded a Royal College of Surgeons Research Fellowship. He was the lead researcher for the GOAL-Trauma study, an international multi-centre observational study that focused on patients undergoing trauma laparotomy, collecting data from 1769 patients from 51 countries worldwide, that was recently published in the Lancet Global Health.
