RCS England Council Member, Consultant Plastic Surgeon , Tees Valley Hospital, Middlesbrough - Ramsay Healthcare Group

Keith is a consultant plastic surgeon now working in the private sector, looking after NHS patients following his retirement from his substantive appointment in Middlesbrough, which he held from April 2005. His main surgical practice included microsurgery, trauma and burns, breast reconstruction and skin oncology.

He has conducted a busy private plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery practice, along with a medical expert witness practice offering advice to bodies such as the GMC, medical protection societies and solicitors on personal injury and negligence cases. He is a GMC‑approved educational and clinical supervisor for trainees.

Keith has held various managerial roles, including Chair of the Northern Deanery Plastic Surgery Training Scheme and Chair of the National Oncoplastic Training Interface Fellowship Group. He has been a lead clinician for skin cancer, burns, trauma and breast reconstruction, as well as a clinical director. He is an RCS England consultant post assessor and an Independent Review Mechanism panel member when required.

He examined senior plastic surgery trainees on behalf of the Joint Committee Intercollegiate Exam for more than ten years and is now a member of the Court of Examiners for delivery of the MRCS exam.
