
Jonathan Glass
Consultant Urological Surgeon, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust
Jonathan Glass was appointed to the urology department at Guy's Hospital in 1999. He receives referrals for complex stone surgery from centres throughout England including paediatric kidney stones. He has taught kidney stone surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England Basic and Advanced surgery courses, and at the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) annual meetings. He has been secretary, vice chair and chair of the section of endourology of BAUS. In July 2019 he took up his position as the representative of the BAUS on the council of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was editor-in-chief of the Bulletin of the RCS England for three years. Jonathan has been training programme director for urological trainees in south Thames and has been a member of the Surgical Advisory Committee for Urology. As well as being the urological editor for the 39th and 40th edition of Gray's Anatomy, he has published over 40 papers on various aspects of urology and has written a number of blogs and opinion pieces for the British Medical Journal and British Journal of Urology International, including five personal views in the BMJ.
