Faiza Ali

Deputy Chair of the SAS Forum, ENT Speciality Doctor, RCS England, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board

I am an ENT SAS surgeon based in Bangor, north Wales. I serve as Deputy Chair of the SAS Forum at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS England) and am an active member of the Women in Surgery (WinS) Forum.

I lead the WinSpire school outreach initiative for the WinS Forum, connecting women in surgery with schools across the UK to inspire young people to consider a career in surgery.

I am also faculty on the Basic Surgical Skills course, where I contribute to the training and development of early career surgical doctors.

Alongside my roles at the College, I am an examiner at Bangor Medical School, supporting undergraduate assessments and maintaining academic standards.

My professional interests include promoting surgical education and improving inclusivity within the profession. I am also a mother of three, bringing a work–life integration perspective to leadership in surgery.
