Miss Ana Jeelani is a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon working at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool. In 2024, she volunteered with the charitable organisation Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP UK) and travelled to Gaza, spending two weeks at Al Aqsa Hospital in March 2024, and a further month at Nasser Hospital in September 2024. Ana’s extensively viewed video diaries during her time in Gaza documented the shocking reality of daily life in Gaza and how healthcare and healthcare workers have become a target.
